Visual Artwork for Khwab Ek Aurat Ka!

Khwab Ek Aurat Ka is a conceptual poster created as part of my ongoing effort to use graphic design as a medium for social expression and awareness. This artwork was developed through a thoughtful visual process, combining symbolism, typography, and restrained composition to communicate a message that goes beyond aesthetics. The poster was designed to translate a real societal issue into a strong visual narrative that speaks silently yet powerfully.

The design highlights a painful reality in Pakistan, where many women are allowed to dream but are not given the freedom or independence to fulfill those dreams. It represents the emotional weight, restriction, and quiet struggle faced by women whose ambitions are limited by social norms, cultural expectations, and systemic barriers. Rather than depicting this struggle directly, the poster relies on mood, tone, and minimal elements to convey suppression and unspoken resistance.

A dark visual palette was intentionally used to reflect silence, confinement, and emotional heaviness, while the bold typography symbolizes the strength of dreams that continue to exist despite limitations. The controlled layout and minimal composition emphasize unfinished potential, reinforcing the idea that dreams without freedom remain incomplete. Every design decision was made to support the message without distraction, allowing the concept to speak clearly and honestly.

This issue matters deeply because when a woman’s freedom is denied, the loss extends beyond the individual. Society loses creativity, progress, and growth that could have emerged from those unrealized dreams. Through this poster, I aimed to create a visual pause—one that encourages reflection and conversation around women’s rights, independence, and opportunity.
